Dancing with the Stars winner Joey Graziadei has sparked backlash after insulting his fiancee Kelsey Anderson.

Joey, who got engaged to Kelsey on The Bachelor's 28th season, was crowned Dancing with the Stars' Season 33 champion last week.

Following his Mirrorball Trophy win with pro partner Jenna Johnson, Joey told Us Weekly that he'd love to see Kelsey compete on a future season of the ABC reality dancing competition.

However, Joey suggested that Kelsey's moves need work -- and that she'd need a lot of practice.

"I do not think she would do well," Joey admitted to the magazine following Dancing with the Stars' November 26 finale.

"And she'd be the first person to admit that, but I didn't think I was going to do well and we're here now."

Joey therefore noted, "So, you got to try it."

Jenna pointed out how her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, would be a great partner for Kelsey, and Joey agreed wholeheartedly.

"Oh, I would love to see that," Joey said.

"If Kelsey and Val were together, that would be must-see TV. That would be tough. He would really whoop her into shape."

Joey knocking Kelsey's dance skills and lacking confidence in his fiancee's performance abilities prompted some backlash on social media.

Kelsey, meanwhile, was completely supportive of Joey's stint on Dancing with the Stars, and she praised him at every opportunity.

Ahead of Dancing with the Stars' Season 33 finale, Kelsey took to TikTok and gushed about how "proud" she was of The Bachelorette 20 alum.

"Every Tuesday right after his performance, Joey texts me, saying, 'I hope I made you proud,' which of course he does -- but honestly, he makes me proud every single day," Kelsey said.

Kelsey went on to boast about Joey's work ethic and commitment to the people he loves as well as his responsibilities.

"It's not just about his accomplishments; it's the way he treats others and the unwavering commitment he brings to everything he does," Kelsey gushed of Joey.

"When Joey sets his mind to something, it's truly inspiring to watch him give it his all. From The Bachelor, to our life together after the show, to his journey on Dancing with the Stars, it's been incredible to see his dedication and drive through it all."

Kelsey concluded, "I am, and always will be, his biggest cheerleader and supporter."

Joey admitted in the comments section that Kelsey's sweet words made him "tear up."

Joey addressed Kelsey as "babe" and continued, "Thank you for being the best support system and lifting me up during this crazy time. Love you forever."

Kelsey replied to Joey's comment, "I love you."

Joey defeated the following celebrities in the Dancing with the Stars finale: Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik, Olympian Ilona Maher, TV star Chandler Kinney, and NFL star Danny Amendola.

Kelsey cheered her man on while sitting in the audience, and she often defended Joey while the show was airing.

Many fans had accused Joey of being too flirtatious and touchy-feely with Jenna on and off the dance floor.

"Don't want yall to get the wrong idea. Joey and I are good," Kelsey said in a TikTok video earlier this month.

And in October, Kelsey shared on Jason Tartick's "Trading Secrets" podcast that she "fully trusts" Joey and is "very secure" in their relationship after getting engaged on The Bachelor.

Kelsey also pointed out how Joey needed to touch Jenna in order "to dance and to win" the Season 33 competition.

Although Kelsey maintained a positive attitude throughout his Dancing with the Stars journey, she admitted to Jason that the gossip and criticism occasionally got to her.

When Jason asked if she was feeling "any strain whatsoever," Kelsey admitted, "I mean, obviously I'm reading all these comments like, 'Oh my gosh, Kelsey, why is [Jenna] touching him like this?!' And I'm like, 'Am I not seeing something that everyone else is?'"

Kelsey had confessed she was "questioning myself" but went on to share, "I'm able to bring it up to Joey and he reassures me or talks to me in a way, like, 'Oh, you know... Jenna feels this way,' or, 'We have to do this for this.'"

Kelsey admitted to Jason that she had come a long way since falling in love with Joey on The Bachelor in terms of dealing with noise and rude comments in her Instagram DMs.

"It was hard in the beginning, and I feel like I've been adjusting to it really well," Kelsey said.

"It's so funny sometimes to see the DMs. I'll look through my requests sometimes and I got one the other day -- it honestly made me laugh out loud."

The Louisiana native and aspiring model continued, "Someone just DMed me, 'I hate you.' And I was like, 'Okay! What?!' It was very to the point and I loved that... And one girl said, 'You're so pretty until you smile with your gums.'"

"It's just crazy to me that people think they need to say those things. You could've just kept that in your head!" she complained.

But Kelsey said once a person finds fame and success in life, negativity typically comes with the territory.

"I think with anything, people are going to hate on you. I think that just shows that you're making [something of yourself]. In my mind, I'm happy," Kelsey concluded.

Kelsey previously admitted "it stinks whenever people want to pick" her relationship apart but she's thankful for all the great things The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars have brought the couple.

"Maybe we should just focus more on positives and not always assume the worst of things. So yeah, that's all," Kelsey said in an October TikTok video.
