Jonathon Johnson has revealed what happened in his Fantasy Suite with Jenn Tran on The Bachelorette's 21st season.

Jenn invited Jonathon to join her in a Fantasy Suite on The Bachelorette's August 26 episode, and Jenn teased how she was excited to "take that next step" with the bachelor in Hawaii.

The next day, Jonathon told the cameras that he and Jenn "went to bed smiling" and "woke up smiling," and he added, "It felt natural. Everything just flowed."

While Jonathon didn't reveal whether he and Jenn were intimate behind closed doors, he did provide some insight into their Fantasy Suite during the August 29 episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.

"It's kind of crazy because I don't think I took time off camera to ask the kind of questions that pushed the relationship," Jonathon admitted to Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

"You're at cocktail parties, you're at Rose Ceremonies, you're at wherever you might be, and that's the time to ask those questions. When I actually got down to the moment of being at [the] Fantasy [Suite], I just stopped."

Instead of digging deep with Jenn and talking about religion, politics, credit scores or sex, Jonathon simply asked The Bachelorette star, "How are you?"

"[I said], 'I just want to know how you are doing and how you're doing with everything. How has this process been for you? How are you as a person? How are you really?'" Jonathon recalled.

Jonathon explained of his softball approach to the overnight date, "[I told Jenn], 'I just want to know how you are doing, and I want to talk about things you enjoy and things you don't enjoy. Tell me it without having to worry about... slipping up or saying the wrong thing for a second."

Jonathon explained how that's what he really wanted to get to know about The Bachelorette star.

Jonathon therefore said he utilized time in the Fantasy Suite to ask "those kind of questions."

And at that time, Jonathon said he "didn't fully know" where Jenn stood with her other remaining bachelors, Devin Strader and Marcus Shoberg, in comparison to their relationship.

"I was separated from all the guys at this point. There were only three of us left," Jonathon said, adding how he didn't get to feel Marcus and Devin out after the overnight dates.

Jonathon also revealed that he didn't flat out ask Jenn whom she planned to send home after overnight dates.

Although Serena and Joe joked about how they'd be super straightforward with their questions in that scenario, Jonathon explained, "It's kind of weird to ask. You're starting to get feelings for somebody and you haven't known each other that long."

Jonathon said it felt weird, as a result, to bluntly ask, "Hey, are you in love with somebody else?"

Jonathon shared that while asking such a question would be valid, in that moment, he thought it didn't feel right.

"It's almost like, 'Hey, can I look through your phone really quick to see how everything [is going]?' In my mind, you just don't do that, and so I was like, 'I'm not going to ask,'" Jonathon said.

Jonathon noted it almost felt like a violation of Jenn's privacy and he was afraid to fall flat on his face.

"It would seem like I'm insecure in [our] relationship, almost," Jonathon reasoned.

"[She could've been like], 'Oh, you have to ask? You don't believe in us strongly enough?' Whether it's true or not true, it's a 50/50 shot there!"

Jonathon elaborated, "She could either be like, 'You are endgame for me. I love you so much,' or it's like, 'Oh, well...' And then it's like, 'Okay, this is awkward now. Should I go somewhere else?'"

Jonathon suggested that he didn't want to completely destroy his chances of being The One for Jenn.

In the morning after their Fantasy Suite, both Jenn and Jonathon were beaming ear to ear, and Jonathon told the cameras he felt more confident in his relationship with The Bachelorette star than ever before.

"The vibes, the energy and the happiness is so through-the-roof that we can't contain it... We had conversations with no words being held back. It was letting loose and enjoying the person we're choosing to pursue," Jonathon shared at the time of filming.

"I see the picture of getting down on one knee... I can see this being something absolutely incredible."

Jonathon claimed he and Jenn had received the "clarity" they needed during that date on what they had together and who they are as people.

Jenn, however, chose to eliminate Jonathon in third place following her Fantasy Suites.

"I regret the fact that I wasn't able to just jump into [with Jenn]," Jonathon admitted, adding how his feelings of love and trust for Jenn had developed too late.

Jonathon told Jenn that she was perfect for him and he couldn't be the perfect man for her in return.

Jonathon then assured Jenn that she had two great guys left and deserved to find the true love she had been searching for.

"I'm so mad at myself. I could've gotten there sooner," Jonathon tearfully said in his final words.

"I could've done better. I could've been better. I can see an amazing future with this girl, and I feel like the biggest idiot in the world because something amazing was right in front of me and I was too much my own enemy to see it until I was too late."

Jonathon acknowledged that he was "just tired of standing in" his own way.

But Jonathon revealed on The Men Tell All special that he will be joining the cast of Bachelor in Paradise's tenth season when the spinoff returns to ABC in 2025.
