Witney Carson and Lindsay Arnold have revealed if they'll be returning for Dancing with the Stars' 33rd season this fall on ABC.

Witney and Lindsay just announced on social media whether they'll be competing as pro partners on Dancing with the Stars, which is set to premiere Tuesday, September 17 at 8PM ET/PT.

Witney revealed on Thursday, August 29 that she will, in fact, be competing for The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

"Hey guys, I am back on Dancing with the Stars and I cannot wait to get back on that dance floor," Witney, 30, gushed in an Instagram video.

"Just you wait until you meet my partner, you guys are going to die," she teased.

Witney had taken off Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars following the birth of her second child.

During Witney's time off, she and husband Carson McAllister moved from Utah to Florida with their two sons, Leo and Jett. However, she will need to live in Los Angeles to film Dancing with the Stars.

But Witney's close friend and fellow Dancing with the Stars pro, Lindsay, confirmed she will not be participating in Dancing with the Stars next season.

Lindsay, 30, shared the news in a TikTok video she had uploaded earlier this week.

Lindsay -- who sat out for Season 31 and Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars after also welcoming Baby No. 2 -- explained her casting decision in a near five-minute video.

"As many of you know, I was on Dancing with the Stars for close to 10 years. I stepped away from the show two seasons ago, and when I stepped away, I wasn't like, 'I'm done forever,'" Lindsay recalled.

"It was just like, 'This is what works for my life and we'll just take it one season at a time.'"

Lindsay said she understands the curiosity surrounding her potential Dancing with the Stars return, especially since her little sister Rylee Arnold competed on the previous season.

Lindsay explained how a professional partner's Dancing with the Stars casting is "much more complex" than a person just deciding whether or not he or she wants to do it.

"When it comes to the pros on Dancing with the Stars, you are never, ever guaranteed to be on the show -- ever," Lindsay noted.

Lindsay explained that for "every single season" she competed on the reality dancing competition, she "had to wait" to hear from producers about whether she'd be invited back into the ballroom.

"Even though I was under contract, the contract does not guarantee you a job every season," Lindsay continued.

"But you do need to be available to do it when you're under contract and you can't do other shows... You need to be ready, if they choose to use you."

Lindsay explained the longer a pro has been on the show, the "more confident" he or she may feel about  being asked back.

"But there have been many times on the show where a very long-standing pro, who's been on for a long time, doesn't get picked up for a season. So you never really know," Lindsay said.

Former Dancing with the Stars champion, Sharna Burgess, for example, expressed her frustrations about not being asked back to Dancing with the Stars for Season 32 last year.

Lindsay elaborated of the casting process, "I would have to express my interest in coming back to the producers, and then I'd have to be in the same position I'm always in, where it's a waiting game and I'd have to find out if they have a partner for me and if they want to use me."

Lindsay added, "It's not as simple as just me being like, 'I want be on the show!'"

Due to contractual obligations, Lindsay said a pro must put his or her "life on hold" when the job isn't guaranteed.

Lindsay also said the fact she lives outside of Los Angeles played a role in her decision to continue her hiatus from Dancing with the Stars.

"Everything is very last-minute, which is hard, especially if you're a mom," shared Lindsay, who lives in Utah with her husband and two daughters.

Lindsay joked about going on a rant, and then she finally confirmed, "No, I will not be doing Dancing with the Stars next season. I didn't express interest, either, in doing this season, so no conversations have really gone on."

Lindsay apologized to any fans who feel she's letting them down, and she added, "It's not really something that's been in the cards for me at this time in my life."

Lindsay, however, isn't ruling out a possible Dancing with the Stars return in the future.

"Never say never," Lindsay teased.

"But I will say, it's been so fun to be able to watch and support my sister Rylee. It feels like this is just so meant to be with her being on the show and me being able to support and watch her. I just love the way things are going."

Lindsay concluded that she'll be happy to stay home with her girls and be a good mom, watching Dancing with the Stars from the comfort of her home.

Dancing with the Stars pro Jenna Johnson, for her part, told Us Weekly in May that she would "love to be back" on the show -- with her "whole heart."

"The show has been a dream come true for myself [and] my family. It's really what I love to do," Jenna gushed to the magazine.

"I thrive on performing, I thrive on teaching. Nothing fulfills me more than on Monday nights when the countdown goes, '5, 4, 3, 2, 1,' and you are live on air. There's nothing like that feeling. So, I would love to be back."

Only one celebrity has been announced for Dancing with the Stars' 33rd season so far, Olympic bronze-medal winning gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik.

The rest of Dancing with the Stars' Season 33 cast -- pros included -- will be announced Wednesday, September 4 on Good Morning America.

ABC has already confirmed that Julianne Hough will be reprising her role as co-host alongside host Alfonso Ribeiro.

Dancing with the Stars will also feature the return of judges Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
