Kim Kardashian has confirmed she will be taking fiance Kanye West's surname when they marry.

"I will" take West's name, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star told E! News on Friday when she celebrated her 33rd birthday at Tao Las Vegas, five days after the rapper proposed.

"It'll be Kim Kardashian West -- not hyphened. [I'll] maybe make [Kardashian] the middle."

Kardashian will apparently be following in the footsteps of her sister Khloe, who called herself Khloe Kardashian Odom after marrying her now-estranged husband Lamar Odom.

The name addition will also allow Kardashian to have the same last name as her four-month-old daughter North "Nori" West, who was born on June 15.

West previously revealed Kardashian would be taking his last name during a Monday interview with Big Boy Neighborhood for radio station Power 106FM.

While West had told Big Boy he assumed Kardashian knew about his big marriage proposal at AT&T stadium in San Francisco ahead of time, Kardashian insisted she didn't.

"I honestly had no idea, none whatsoever... But when he got on his knee, I kind of figured out what was going on," the reality TV star told E! News.

"As far as wedding stuff, I mean, we haven't even thought about or talked about anything. It's just been such a whirlwind. We need a moment to just kind of relax and figure it all out."

Kardashian added she has "no idea" how long they'll stay engaged before she actually walks down the aisle.

This will be the first marriage for West and the third for Kardashian, who had divorced music producer Damon Thomas in 2004 and NBA basketball player Kris Humphries in 2011. Seemingly because of Kardashian's relationship history, she told the website her wedding will be "whatever [Kanye] wants."
