Married at First Sight star David Trimble has claimed Michelle Tomblin didn't deserve an explanation about his sext to another woman that he accidentally sent to her.

On the latest Married at First Sight episode, Michelle wanted to get to the bottom of a strange text message she had received from David when he was out partying with their co-stars Allen and Madison one night that read, "You are so damn fine I just wanna eat U up."

When Michelle had asked David about the text considering they didn't have that type of steamy marriage, David claimed the message had been intended for his cousin Denise, who had sent him a picture of delicious-looking food.

However, Michelle wasn't buying David's story, and she was convinced he had been trying to sext another woman that night.

During the Tuesday, January 28 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, David watched back a Season 18 clip of Michelle begging him to show her evidence that he had been responding to a photo of Denise's food.

David, however, said in the clip that he had deleted the message and refused to reach out to Denise and get her involved in the drama.

David explained to Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam that although Michelle clearly felt stressed out and betrayed, he didn't think he owed his wife anything.

"She just wants to know to know, it's not that she even cares," David alleged. "So at this point, I don't feel the need to give her that."

But Keshia pointed out how David's reluctance and inability to gather proof clearly made it seem like he wasn't being truthful with Michelle.

"She didn't deserve it, Keshia, to be honest," David said.

"She didn't deserve it?" Keshia asked.

"No," David replied.

"She doesn't deserve it because of what she's expressed to me in regards to, 'I care less,' behind the scenes," David explained.

David went on to share an off-camera conversation he had with Michelle in which he was complimenting her nails.

"I said, 'Where did you go?' And she said, 'SoHo,'" David recalled.

"I said, 'I used to date a girl in SoHo,' and blah, blah, blah. And then she was like, 'Is that the girl you texted?' And I was like, 'No, it was my cousin Denise.' And then she goes, 'I could care less,' and laughed."

Keshia pointed out how she thought David was a stand-up guy up to this point and she was "disappointed" watching the show because "he knew better and could've done better."

David agreed and acknowledged, "I probably should've handled the situation different."

"I think I let my anger inside of me portray that [I was being stubborn], in the response aspect of it," David said.

"So I do apologize and wish I could've apologized and just been like, 'Hey, this is what it is.'"

Married at First Sight star Juan Franco, who joined David on Afterparty, was asked for his perspective on David's sexting.

"It wasn't right. It's not right," Juan announced.

"What David is doing is deceitful and it's not correct," Juan continued, "but at the same time, I see him going into this experience with an open heart, and it's just hard to judge this situation. It's tough."

When asked if he was still in his marriage to Michelle, David replied, "Yeah, I mean, I guess 50-50, half and half. It's hard for me right now. I'm spiraling in regards to what I'm not getting and what I really wanted coming into this."

David continued, "[I'm] putting my heart into it and am actually trying and continue to try -- [only to be met with] reject, reject, reject. I don't see the pin moving towards what could possibly be or even just a friendship."

At the end of Married at First Sight's latest episode, Michelle was shown calling Denise and flat out asking her about the alleged plate of food.

Denise denied she had ever sent David that message, and she also told Michelle that she did not "condone" that type of behavior. It was apparent Denise had no intention of covering for David.

"My cousin Denise, she is my No. 1 and she's a woman that sticks up for other women. She doesn't put up with bullsh-t either, so she was very disappointed in me, I guarantee that," David told Keshia.

"She said, 'Why did you put me in this when you know you f-cked up?' So to all the women in my family, it's going to hurt to see... and I want to apologize to Denise as well for putting her in that position because it should've been me coming forward as a man and saying, 'Hey, I f-cked up.'"

David said he wishes he could go back and handle the situation differently.

"[I need to] work on myself," David concluded.

It has yet to be revealed whom exactly David was texting that night, but Married at First Sight previews tease that Michelle suspected Madison had been his target.

"Now he's got some explaining to do!" Michelle vented on the Season 18 episode.

"Now we have to figure out, 'What is the real story? Who was the message for? Was it in response to a photo? Whose photo was sent? Did he see someone across the bar and was sending it on the spot?' Now I have a million more questions that I want answered."
