During the December 10 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, David watched back a Season 18 clip in which he confronted Michelle about ignoring his messages and Michelle didn't seem to care.
"Let me say something: you're getting iced out in this situation, very clearly, but I appreciate you continuing to try," Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam told David.
"We really don't communicate," David confirmed.
"We have separate bedrooms as well in our place. She's got a 9AM to 5PM [job], and I work second shift, which is 2PM to 10:30PM. It's very difficult because when I wake up in the morning, she's already doing her thing, and it's kind of a revolving door."
David went on to explain, "I'll be walking out to go do something and she'll be coming in, so it's really difficult."
Keshia, however, pointed out how David seemed to hold it together, remaining positive and composed, in the face of adversity.
When asked how he was really feeling, David admitted, "I am struggling inside."
"I am trying to make it to a point where -- I don't want to say snap, but I do need some feedback and some communication. I need something," David explained.
David's Married at First Sight co-star Karla Juarez, who also appeared on the Afterparty episode, chimed in and boldly stated, "I already would've stopped talking to her."
Karla elaborated, "I would've stopped talking to her a long time ago. I don't have time for that. 'Do you want to sign to each other? Should we learn Morse code? What will serve you better, for us to be able to interact?' I just don't know."

Karla said Michelle was great with the other Chicago brides and so she had "no idea" about the great divide between Michelle and David.
"When we're together, she's very positive and we're laughing and talking," Karla noted.
"We do kind of share what's going in with the relationships, but I feel like she's more explaining it like, 'There's no connection and there's no chemistry.'"
Keshia said maybe Michelle wasn't aware of how she was coming across in those moments with David.
But David's friends were certainly aware. David's friends got a glimpse of how Michelle was treating David during the couple's housewarming party.
David admitted on Afterparty that his friends thought he had it "rough" in his marriage with Michelle because she was giving him "a stone wall."
David shared, "They were like, 'What's up? Why is it like that?' And I was like, 'I don't know.' It's not like I'm not trying or not giving her the window -- or opportunity -- to be herself or being pushy or being aggressive."
David therefore acknowledged his friends were "disappointed" in Michelle and the state of his marriage.

Keshia gave David props for staying in his marriage and sticking it out since the experts had matched him with Michelle for a reason.
"I'm going to keep trying," David insisted.
However, there appeared to be a turning point in David and Michelle's relationship when David Cooked Michelle a nice meal and told her that he'd be willing to eat more sushi with her since she liked it.
David said he planned to continue complimenting Michelle and trying new things in order to "adapt" and grow as a husband.
"I want to [change] because it's going to help better our situation and our relationship. It's a two-way street," David explained.
David confirmed he felt like that cordial dinner was "a good turning point" for them.
"I do see her laughing, smiling and enjoying conversation with me... I'm feeling like myself," David said.
"I'm feeling like I can just go with the flow and vibe with her instead of thinking, 'What am I going to ask her? What am I going to do?' Because I do feel like I'm walking on eggshells sometimes."
David said he left the dinner with Michelle feeling "hope," and he added, "If you give me a crack, maybe I can open you up."
