Married at First Sight star Paige Banks says she grew "disheartened" waiting for Chris Williams to finally "show up" for their marriage during the show's twelfth season.

"This week I bought her a brand new Benz," Chris tells Paige after the fact.
"I mean, a brand new car?" Paige laments in the clip.
"I'm bringing a king or a queen into the world, so they need to ride in a chariot," Chris replies, before Paige rolls her eyes in a subsequent confessional.
Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight -- asked Paige, "Do you feel he's being more of a husband to his ex than he's being to you?"
"That was definitely a tough pill to swallow," Paige admitted.
"We have not really shown any real level of, like, love languages in any capacity. So for him to do this for the mother of his child, it was very disheartening because I just was like, 'Well, when are you going to actually show up for our marriage?'"
Paige then watched footage of herself spending time with Chris at a basketball court, when she had told her husband that she enjoyed his company.
"I mean, I'm not trying to quit right now or anything. That's where I'm at," Chris says in the clip.
Jamie therefore asked Paige whether she thought Chris was truly trying to make their marriage work and avoid divorce.

"I mean," Paige began with a laugh, "he initiated trying to give this friendship/marriage or whatever another shot. So at this point, I can only be receptive to what he actually tells me."
Paige and Chris' relationship was plagued with issues from the very start.
Not only did Chris admit he wasn't attracted to Paige on their wedding day -- and still proceeded to have sex with her twice in 24 hours -- but he appeared to learn on the first day of his honeymoon that Mercedes was expecting his first child.
Chris confessed to Paige during their trip to Las Vegas that he still loved his ex and considered getting back together with her, and then when the pair returned to Atlanta, GA, Chris asked Paige for a divorce.
However, Chris continued to flirt with Paige and lead her on, and he suddenly changed his mind about divorce when he agreed to go on dates with Paige and attempt to get to know her better.
Drama aside, Paige revealed on Unfiltered that she and Chris hadn't built a strong foundation or developed much of a connection heading towards the one-month anniversary of their marriage.
"If you take away all the drama that's happened between you and Chris and just think about the chemistry between you two, is he someone you can envision spending the rest of your life with?" Jamie asked Paige.
"I mean, to be very honest, it's kind of hard to take that away. We haven't really been leaning on each other as much as we should have," Paige acknowledged.

"So, to be honest, it's kind of hard to say that there is any chemistry there because there's just been so much that has tested our marriage from the very beginning."
After several occasions in which Paige and Chris met up, Chris ultimately determined Paige was not a good communicator given she had ignored some of his phone calls.
Paige explained on the show that she had been spending time with her mother and Chris could have followed up his phone call with a text message, but Chris noted he prefers talking on the phone and "it shouldn't be so hard" to communicate with somebody in a marriage.
"I don't think we are doing a good job at being spouses," Chris told Paige during a recent Married at First Sight episode.
Paige said she was frustrated because Chris always seemed ready to shut the door on her, and Chris admitted his emotional needs were not being met.
"For you to say I'm not meeting your emotional needs, where were you when I needed you emotionally?" Paige asked her husband, referencing the difficult time Chris had put her through regarding his relationship with Mercedes.
"Granted, you don't know me from a hole in the wall and you don't owe me anything because we're still strangers, but... we are legally bound to each other. I at least expect that kind of respect, to see this process through."

Paige felt disrespected and vented to the cameras about how she's a busy woman with things to do and errands to run and she shouldn't be expected to drop everything immediately once Chris calls or reaches out.
"There's no connection. I don't have a connection with you," Chris told Paige. "We are 100 percent emotionally disconnected. I am out, gone. Mentally I am gone."
Chris added, "In another time zone, I'm gone. I want to be in a serious relationship, a serious marriage... It's been a week since we had that last conversation, and we are still in the same place."
Paige then burst into tears and cried about how she felt "disturbed" because she had been taking the Married at First Sight process very seriously. Paige said Chris had everything he wanted but threw it all away.

During the latest Season 12 broadcast, Paige revealed Chris had once again asked her for a divorce and she was trying to work on loving herself and picking up the pieces of her failed marriage.
However, a preview of Decision Day aired on Married at First Sight: The Journey So Far and showed Chris telling the experts he and Paige were still "undecided" about whether to stay married or get a divorce.
The conversation clearly indicates Paige and Chris opted to give their relationship another shot at some point after Chris asked for a divorce for the second time.
