Survivor 50 is going to be taken over by its loyal and passionate fans of nearly 25 years, according to CBS.

CBS has announced Survivor 50 will have an interactive theme and be "in the hands of fans" when it premieres in February 2026.

Not only will there be "fan-centric festivities" leading up to the premiere of Survivor 50, but fans, for the first time ever, will be able to vote online to determine key elements in the game such as whether hidden Immunity Idols will be in play as well as if the season will feature an on-location aftershow or live reunion broadcast.

The Survivor 50 castaways -- which will feature returning veteran players, according to longtime host Jeff Probst -- won't know what the viewers voted for until they are competing on the island in Fiji.

Voting will commence on the premiere day of Survivor 48 on Wednesday, February 26 and will conclude prior to the start of filming for the series' 50th season.

Starting on February 26 at 9:30PM ET/PT, fans can go to survivor50cbs.votenow.tv to cast their votes on game twists and rules that will shape Survivor 50 for its castaways.

There will be multiple rounds of voting, including for "Idols or No Idols," "Final Four Fire Making: Keep It or Lose It," and "Live Finale and Reunion Show in L.A. -- or Keep the Winner Reveal and Aftershow in the Jungles of Fiji."

Jeff said in a statement: "From the very first season [in 2000], Survivor has been evolving. Now, for our 50th season, it's time for the next evolution."

"'Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans' is unlike anything we've done before," he continued.

"For the first time ever, our loyal fans will take control -- deciding key elements of the game, from twists to idols to advantages. I can't wait to see what the fans choose for our returning players!"

In addition, in an "alliance forged by CBS and Fiji Airways," a Survivor 50-branded jet will transport five lucky "tribes" to Fiji where they will be able to observe the filming of the show's milestone season. (The show's Season 49 and Season 50 castaways will be flown to Fiji separately).

The "tribes" of fans will be comprised of family members, friends and/or loved ones.

The package for each winning "tribe" will include a roundtrip Fiji Airways airfare and ground transportation for each member, a four-night stay at an oceanfront resort, and a VIP tour of the Survivor islands -- including the filming locations for Tribal Council and the Immunity Challenge beaches.

A winning tribe's package will also include a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of Survivor, a meet-and-greet with Jeff, and Survivor swag.

Winners will not appear on Survivor 50 broadcasts, but their experiences will be documented on video for promotional materials.

United States citizens that are 18 years or older can submit entries on https://gf.fan/cbs/survivorfanfiji through Sunday, March 30. More details and the official rules can also be found on that website.

Applicants will be required to explain what Survivor means to them and how the CBS reality series has changed their lives.

"CBS will determine the five winning 'tribes' based on the passion, inspiration and storytelling of the applicants," according to the network.

"The most enthusiastic submissions have a chance to be featured on Survivor social media channels or throughout the Survivor marketing campaign."

In the meantime, Survivor 48 is set to premiere on Wednesday, February 26 with a special two-hour episode at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.
