The Bachelor alum Ben Higgins is calling Cassie Randolph out for the way she had handled her breakup from Colton Underwood.

Ben, 29, said he could sympathize with Colton's outburst and emotional breakdown in which he had jumped a fence and attempted to escape production following Cassie's sudden and unexpected departure because she left him without answers and closure.
"As much as she maybe felt the pressure to still be there and just still try to make this work -- you know, you have a lot of people counting on you and watching -- I think all she wanted to tell him was, 'You're a great guy, you've proven to be a great guy, but I'm just not that into you and as a result, I need to leave,'" Ben explained.
"But instead, it felt like she was kind of dancing around the subject, going, 'This is too fast, this isn't right for me, I just don't know.' She knew."
Cassie, an assistant speech pathologist from Huntington Beach, CA, blindsided and dumped Colton ahead of their overnight Fantasy Suite date in Portugal.
Colton was seemingly expecting to lose his virginity to Cassie that night, telling the cameras, "I can definitely see us working forever. I feel like my whole life has been leading to tonight because I love Cassie. I want to be with Cassie. My heart is complete when I think of Cassie."
But Cassie wasn't quite there with Colton. While she admitted she wasn't "in love" with the charity founder and former pro football player, she expressed confusion over her decision and repeated, "I don't know," multiple times.

Cassie didn't choose to leave the competition until after Colton begged and pleaded for her to stay and continue dating him -- even if it meant an engagement would be off the table.
"If she would have just told Colton, 'This isn't going to work, like, we're not meant for each other,' then Colton just has to say goodbye," Ben explained to ET, wishing Cassie had been more direct with Colton.
"He's getting broken up with and he can't beg and he can't scream for more. So what Colton did is he just fought for her and I think that's fair. He loves this woman. I don't think she gave him the right explanation. She should have just left and said, 'This isn't going to work.'"

After watching Colton confess Cassie was the woman of his dreams and his final pick, Ben said he doesn't think it would be fair for the Bachelor to continue pursuing Hannah Godwin or Tayshia Adams.
(Colton enjoyed an overnight Fantasy Suite date with Tayshia but has yet to embark on his date with Hannah G.).
"He only wanted Cassie. I don't know how at this point he looks around himself and goes, 'Yeah, the other two women still have a chance.' I don't think it would be fair to them, especially after having to watch what just happened," Ben reasoned.

"Especially with an engagement. That's the part I don't get is how are you supposed to get down on one knee when you're still so much into one person up until a few days left."
Colton recently told Us Weekly that although he considered ending the show right after Cassie's exit, he realized the show must go on.
"I think that I had a realization, 'Life is not fair' to myself, and I had a very important conversation with [Chris Harrison] about, 'Where do we go from here?'" Colton told the magazine.
"And then having a conversation with my family and my dad really helped me put things into perspective. It was like, 'You owe this to yourself and you owe this to these women to really explore and see where to go from here.'"
