Brad Womack eliminated his first 10 The Bachelor bachelorettes during last night's premiere broadcast of the ABC reality dating series' fifteenth season.

"I feel like the luckiest guy on this planet. This group of women is incredibly beautiful, but more importantly, they all have substance. I have a great feeling that my wife is in that room. I am so happy that I'm back," Brad said at the beginning of the season's first Rose Ceremony.

Renee, a 28-year-old nanny from Palos Hills, IL; Sarah L., a 25-year-old musical theater performer from Saginaw, MI; Jill Ruskowski, a 28-year-old sales director from Frisco, TX; Britnee, a 25-year-old paralegal from Holland, PA; and Lisa P., a 27-year-old sales consultant from New York, NY, failed to receive a rose from the 38-year-old from Austin, TX.

In addition, Rebecca, a 30-year-old esthetician from Mission Viejo, CA; Lauren, a 26-year-old high school teacher from Arlington, VA; Lacey Garbelman, a 27-year-old insurance agent from Tampa, FL; J, a 26-year-old operations manager from Seattle, WA; and Cristy Caserta, a 30-year-old attorney from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, were also denied roses.

"I think that in life you have to take chances and this was a leap of faith that I made that didn't work out for me and that pisses me off," Lauren opined.

"He missed out on a really great woman who is going to be an amazing wife -- an amazing mother -- who I think has a fantastic personality. So, it's his loss obviously, which is sad because something could have been there, but it just -- I guess it just -- wasn't."

The Bachelor's fifteenth-season premiere began with a recap of Brad's original The Bachelor journey on the show's eleventh season, a sit-down interview between Brad and host Chris Harrison, introductions to several of the The Bachelor's bachelorettes, and a surprise visit from DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft -- the two bachelorettes Brad left standing at the podium heartbroken during the show's eleventh-season finale in 2007.

A shocked Brad was reunited with the two women and they discussed how his first time around on the show may or may not be different than his next experience as The Bachelor. Brad felt he owed both women a sincere apology before he allowed DeAnna and Jenni to dive into their questions and concerns.

"I'm sorry. I'm shaking, and I don't get this way at all, but seeing you -- it means the world that both of you made the attempt to come out here -- because trust me, I know you guys have moved on," Brad explained.

"But as a man, it's really tough to admit that I wasn't capable of being who you guys' needed. I failed miserably and I'm so profoundly sorry."

The women then addressed whether they believed Brad really was a changed man and was capable of finding love on the show when he couldn't commit before. Jenni was hopeful, even though she knew Brad's new bachelorettes would have their guards up, but DeAnna had a different view on whether she thought it could work out for him in the end.

"I am skeptical. I don't think that a person in my position after everything that you and I went through in that situation wouldn't be skeptical if you could make this a success," DeAnna told Brad.

The 30 bachelorettes then arrived at the mansion before the initial cocktail reception commenced.

"You guys make me nervous... I have been here a time or two [before]," Brad told them once inside. 

Brad then told the women his story, mentioning how he went through three-years of intensive therapy and soul searching to figure out his personal issues following his rejection of DeAnna and Jenni. He also gave all the women an invitation to leave if they desired based on the information he offered them, but no one opted to leave. 

The girls then tried to secure some one-on-one time with Brad.

Madison -- a 25-year-old model from Brooklyn, NY -- donned a mysterious set of fangs fit for a vampire, which Brad immediately pointed out and questioned despite her beautiful look. Madison would not reveal to Brad whether they were real teeth or not, so Brad grew frustrated over her refusal to give him a definite answer.  

"They are fangs, correct?" Brad asked Madison.

"They're a little sharper than normal, yeah," she replied.

"Are they real? You're really not opening up to me... I get the feeling that you just think this is all just kind of a game. Because I really don't... so you want to be here or no? Honestly, shoot straight," Brad asserted.

"Yes, I do. I don't want to mess around," Madison confirmed.

Raichel, a 29-year-old 'manscaper' from Fullerton, CA, approached Brad with an intimidating waxing kit. She showed Brad first-hand what her job entails by waxing the hair off his wrist. Brad apparently found it funny and commented that he would never get certain areas waxed. 

Brad was stolen away from Renee, a 28-year-old nanny from Palos Hills, IL, three consecutive times mid-conversation, resulting in her complaints that she had lost every opportunity to get to know him within a few-second intervals.

In addition, Alli, a 24-year-old apparel merchant from Columbus, OH, caught Brad off-guard by explaining to him that her ex-boyfriend dumped her because her backside was too large -- making him laugh -- while Keltie, a 28-year-old Radio City Rockette from Hollywood, CA, showed off her flexibility and high kick to catch Brad's attention right off the bat.

Despite the fact that Brad had a few funny and intimate one-on-ones, most of the girls still grilled him about his past and how his prior actions may affect his future decisions and relationships.

"I feel pretty beat up right now. I expected it, but I've been run through the ringer a little bit and it's overwhelming. I am terrified that these women are not going to buy the fact that I've changed. I don't know if this is going to happen for me," Brad said.

The idea of possibly receiving the first-impression rose and the fear of not being chosen as the lucky girl then began to distress a couple of the bachelorettes.

"I want that rose so bad and I don't think I'll settle for anything less," Michelle, a 30-year-old hairstylist from Salt Lake City, UT, said.

Brad continued to take the opportunity to spend more time with the bachelorettes -- including Ashley S., a 26-year-old nanny from New York, NY. She assured him that she wanted to start their relationship fresh without bringing up his troubled past, and also offered him her friendship. 

"I'm not going to give you any hard questions. I know what happened and honestly, everyone had stuff they did wrong in past relationships and I'm just going to take what I see from you right now and from what happens here on out and let's just do that," Ashley S. requested.

"I can also be a friend to you and if you ever feel like you need to have an escape from everything, and you just need someone to talk to, I want to be that person for you too."

"That's very sweet and thank you so much," Brad responded.

Brad found Ashley S. to be a beautiful and sweet girl, while he said he was appreciative that she opened up to him. Brad later revealed he was giving his first-impression rose to her.

"You said that no matter what, you would be here to be my friend and that encompasses everything that I want in a future wife -- no kidding -- is a friend. And so, Ashley, will you accept this rose, please -- very first rose," Brad told her outside.

In a confessional, Ashley S. said she was "so excited."

"I love a good love story and I feel like this is the perfect fairytale. If everything goes well and he feels the exact same way that I feel about him, then I couldn't imagine a better story," Ashley S. added.

Following Brad's conversation with Ashley S., a few of the bachelorettes got jealous and wished it were them.

"I would have loved to have the first-impression rose. Thinking about it is kind of making me sick," Michelle said after Ashley S. was rewarded the special rose.

The Bachelor's fifteenth season's first Rose Ceremony then commenced. 

Besides Ashley S., Brad gave roses to Michelle; Alli; Keltie; Rebecca; Madison; Raichel; Kimberly, a 27-year-old marketing coordinator from Charlotte, NC; Emily, a 24-year-old children's hospital event planner from Charlotte, NC; Ashley Hebert, a 26-year-old dentist from Philadelphia, PA; Meghan, a 30-year-old fashion marketer from New York, NY; Lisa M., a 24-year-old marketing coordinator from Ottawa, KS, and Lindsay Hill, a 25-year-old first grade teacher from Plano, TX.

In addition, Sara P., a 27-year-old real estate broker from Denver, CO; Marissa, a 26-year-old sports publicist from Kissimmee, FL; Britt, a 25-year-old food writer from Woodinville, WA; Stacey, a 26-year-old bartender from Boston, MA; Shawntel, a 25-year-old funeral director from Chico, CA; Jackie, a 27-year-old artist from New York, NY; Melissa, a 32-year-old waitress from Lake Worth, FL, and Chantal, a 28-year-old executive assistant from Seattle, WA, also got to advance and remain in the competition to win Brad's heart.

"I have no clue why he didn't pick me. It's hard to give 110% percent, because you hope that receive it and get it in return. I definitely want to be in love. I'm ready to find someone to be in love with. I want that other person. I want that crazy, can't live without each other kind of love. It's obviously just not my time yet," Britnee said after she failed to receive a rose.

"I don't think Brad took me seriously. I think he just found me as someone that wasn't where he is. The toughest part is leaving already -- so soon -- I definitely did not think this would happen. I'm going to find someone. I don't know where. I don't know when. He's just not here," Lisa P. lamented following her elimination.

The Bachelor's next episode will air Monday, January 10 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
