The Bachelor star Grant Ellis has explained why he picked Dina Lupancu, Juliana Pasquarosa, Litia Garr and Zoe McGrady as his Final 4 bachelorettes.

On The Bachelor's latest Season 29 episode that aired on Monday, February 24, Grant decided to eliminate Alexe Godin, Carolina Quixano and Sarafiena Watkins at the fifth Rose Ceremony of the season in Scotland.

Grant therefore chose to advance Dina, Juliana, Litia and Zoe to hometown dates.

According to The Bachelor star, each woman brought something unique to the table and was special to him.

Grant said, Dina, for starters, was "really independent and really strong" during an interview with Us Weekly published on Tuesday, February 25.

During a one-on-one date in Madrid, Dina had told Grant that they'd have an equal partnership and, while it's very manly of a guy to provide for his family, it's also manly for a guy to accept and embrace the fact his wife can do the same.

"It was a newfound relationship for me and I was really intrigued by that dynamic because I had never had that before," Grant explained to the magazine.

"It opened my perspective a lot. Our relationship really progressed over time. She was really type A and very organized, but she also had a deeper side to her."

Grant explained how time and being able to get to know Dina better with each passing date was really "the overall factor in that relationship."

When it came to his romance with Juliana, Grant said she caught his eye right away.

"From Night 1, we really connected over our love of playing the piano," Grant shared.

"We always had that physical chemistry, and then we started to really develop an emotional connection. Every relationship was different, but that was a relationship that really developed over time."

Grant seemed to have a similar connection with Litia, who also stood out to Grant early in the process.

"We connected emotionally and were attracted to each other," Grant said.

"Going into hometowns, I was just trying to see what the dynamic would be like with [her conservative Mormon] family."

And with Zoe, Grant apparently liked how she paved her own path and didn't let the other bachelorettes get her down.

"Her boldness was something that was interesting," Grant said of the bachelorette, who had been criticized earlier in the season for stealing Grant's time and having an aggressive dating approach.

"She really was there to put herself out there and I saw that. Then getting to know her story, I could really relate to her."

In a preview that aired at the end of The Bachelor's fifth episode, Grant says, "I love both of these women, equally, but I can only choose one."

Grant's father advises him to go with his heart and choose the woman who's right for him.

"I went to bed last night thinking I knew what I wanted, but I woke up and I realized that I still don't," Grant admits.

The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer proceeds to tell Grant ahead of the Final Rose Ceremony, "Both of the women are on their way here right now. I really need to know which one to send first. Do you feel like you know what you want to do?"

"The truth is," Grant replies, "I don't know."

Grant recently confirmed on the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast that he had a very "difficult" time at the end of his The Bachelor journey and hurting the last woman standing was "the hardest part" for him.

Grant said "the ladies were so great" at the end of the season that his final choice was a struggle.

"The Final 2 were both amazing women, and I had a really hard time. Getting down to that last moment with [host Jesse Palmer] and he's like, 'You have to make a decision,' it was something that was hard for me," Grant told Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Grant admitted he's "an emotional guy" and he "didn't want to let somebody down."

The Bachelor star continued, "I had a really difficult time, you know? It was hard because that disappointment of letting somebody down. So y'all have got to tune in and see what happens at the end!"

Grant assured People earlier this month that The Bachelor ended the way it was supposed to end.

The Season 29 The Bachelor star added, "I don't regret anything."
