The Bachelorette alum Zac Clark has explained why his mother Beatrice Clark recently unfollowed his fiancée Tayshia Adams on Instagram.

Breakup rumors once again plagued Tayshia and Zac, who got engaged on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season last year, when fans noticed Beatrice stopped following Tayshia on Instagram in March.

However, Zac has set the record straight and confirmed there's no issue between the ladies in his life.

"There was some sh-t with my mom," Zac told Barstool Sports' Chicks in the Office podcast on April 30, according to E! News.

"My mom is 70 years sold, loves a glass of Chardonnay. I call her and I'm like, 'Mom, what's going on, why did you unfollow Tayshia?' And she's like, 'I didn't unfollow her.'"

Zac suggested Beatrice was receiving a lot of ads for Tayshia's podcast Click Bait and must have unintentionally unfollowed the former The Bachelorette star when trying to remove them.

"Tayshia has this podcast, Click Bait. [My mom] said, 'I just kept getting all these things for Click Bait, and I didn't know what to do.' She probably did it accidentally, but you know, these people are out there, sourcing this sh-t all day long," Zac explained.

The addiction specialist currently living in New York admitted speculation and gossip surrounding his romance with Tayshia can get overwhelming at times.

"It's always great to be loved, but at the end of the day we are in a relationship with each other, so all that noise and all that drama doesn't really matter," Zac said.

"Obviously, it can affect people, especially if it's negative, but I've gotten really good at the 'swipe and the delete.'"

Tayshia also felt the need to deny rumors in March she and Zac had split after she was spotted without her engagement ring on.

"There's all these weird rumors circulating around that I'm not wearing my ring and that Zac and I are broken up. I don't know what is happening," Tayshia said on Instagram Stories.

She added, "I was in [Los Angeles] for a hot minute and was able to finally drop off my ring and get it sized."

Tayshia reportedly followed up her video with a post on her Instagram Story that read, "Not gonna lie, I don't like getting DMs putting this weird energy into the universe lol. I love that there's so much love & support around our relationship but please don't put unnecessary rumors/pressure on us."

Tayshia and Zac's relationship is apparently thriving and doing well.

Zac told Us Weekly last month, for instance, that "obviously there's wedding plans."

"There are plans to get married, but it's been a wild start to the year," Zac told the magazine.

"Is there a wedding date at this very moment? No. Will there be [eventually]? Yes... Happy wife, happy life. So, whatever she wants, I'm in."

Tayshia selected Zac over her runner-up Ben Smith in her final days of filming The Bachelorette last year, and the couple got engaged at the Final Rose Ceremony that aired on December 22, 2020.

Following their engagement, Tayshia and Zac enjoyed the holidays together and then Tayshia decided to move to New York City to be with her man.

In a February 2021 interview with Marie Claire, Tayshia revealed the couple still resides in New York but the once-divorced The Bachelorette star decided to keep her own place in California "for peace of mind" since this is "not [her] first rodeo."

"Coming out of that [TV environment], I think we had a strong foundation, and then it's about, like, digging in together and getting to know each other and understanding each other's lives," Zac told Us of his post-show journey with Tayshia.

"We're both passionate, driven, busy human beings. And with that, we need to remind ourselves to work each other into it and we've done [that]."

Zac continued, "So yeah, a couple months after, there were some ups and downs, of course, and, like, well-documented, but at the end of the day, it's all good right now."

Zac added that he and Tayshia's relationship "is solid" now and they support each other "through difficult times."

Tayshia previously admitted she and Zac go "back on forth" on how soon she should walk down the aisle.

"At first, Zac was the person to be like, 'We could get married next week.' And I was like, 'Slow your roll.' I'd love to date a year. And now I'm like, 'You want to [marry] maybe next month?' And he's like, 'Tayshia, slow your roll,'" Tayshia explained to Marie Claire.

"We're back and forth. But there's no timeline. It's definitely going to happen. I just don't know when."

The social-media influencer and former phlebotomist even confessed she is "obsessed" with Zac, who reportedly separated from his wife Jennifer Stanley-George in January 2011 less than two years after they got married in June 2009.

"[It] is weird to say because I don't like to sound so cliche, but he's very much everything I need," gushed Tayshia.

Tayshia split from her former husband Josh Bourelle in August 2017 and then got divorced in April 2018 before she began filming Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor in September of that year.

"I have an issue with trust," added Tayshia, who also had a failed relationship with her Bachelor in Paradise co-star John Paul Jones before her The Bachelorette stint. "[Zac] is teaching me to get that back."

Tayshia and fellow The Bachelorette alum Kaitlyn Bristowe just wrapped co-hosting and filming The Bachelorette's upcoming seventeenth season starring Katie Thurston after Chris Harrison announced he was "stepping aside" from his hosting duties "for a period of time" to educate himself on racism in society on a "profound" level.

Chris came under fire after he defended The Bachelor Season 25 contestant Rachael Kirkconnell's racially-ignorant and insensitive actions in the last several years.

It's unclear whether Chris will return to the franchise to host The Bachelorette's eighteenth season starring Michelle Young later this year.
