The Bachelorette host Jesse Palmer has revealed whether he likes the idea of eliminating the double standard and having two The Bachelor stars lead the same season in the future.

The Bachelorette fans have already watched two seasons in which two women had to share the same group of guys.

Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia are the current dual stars of The Bachelorette's nineteenth season, and producers have faced backlash for pitting two best friends against each other.

And Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson were previously forced to face off against each other on Season 11 of The Bachelorette. (The majority of suitors voted on Night 1 to continue dating Kaitlyn, and so Britt was brutally rejected and immediately sent packing).

When asked if two Bachelor leads could work for the sake of equality, Jesse said on a recent episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, "I think so."

"And I think the show is always trying to find ways to sort of reinvent itself or, again, give Bachelor Nation something new and something unique and something to talk about."

Jesse told the podcast's co-hosts Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young, "I think part of it, too, is it's an experiment. I think certainly that was the case with having two Bachelorettes. And so, yeah, I think we could absolutely see two Bachelors down the road."

Jesse said it's an "interesting" thought, adding, "And I have thought about it."

"[What] if we got two Bachelors from totally different eras? How would you compare [them]? Or would it be, like, 'the Dynamic Duo,' as we've seen, with like an [Aaron Clancy] and [James Bonsall]?" suggested Jesse, who is also a former The Bachelor star.

Jesse also pointed out how Greg Grippo and Andrew Spencer could make a great pair on the show.

"It's interesting!" Jesse said with a laugh as the women pushed back on those options.

"I'm partial to the Greg and Andrew S. from [Katie Thurston]'s season as a dynamic duo," he noted, "or I'm a big Mike Johnson fan. So maybe you could do, like, I don't know -- a Mike Johnson and then maybe someone from a newer season."

Becca, who starred on The Bachelorette's fourteenth season, agreed it would be "fun" to pull a man from the past -- someone who's been off The Bachelor grid for a while and has had time to reflect -- with "somebody from a newer season."

"[Let'] put them together and have them get to know each other," Becca said, "and see how that goes. I think it would be very entertaining."

And Michelle, who starred on The Bachelorette's eighteenth season last year, concluded, "We've had two girls. Let's put the guys in there. Even if it's not a successful season, then, hey."

"I'm all for it!" Becca interjected.

Bachelor Nation and many fans have been criticizing Rachel and Gabby's joint season since before it even premiered earlier this summer.

"I don't think a lot of people are fans of it," Nick, who starred on The Bachelor's 21st season, told E! News earlier this month.

He elaborated, "The show is unfortunately set up where it's just impossible to not have them compete against themselves just by default. I think it certainly makes for drama, but I think... it just feels a little icky and unfair to both Gabby and Rachel. I think they're kind of taking away from some of the enjoyment."

And Season 20 The Bachelor star Ben Higgins called this season "messy" and said he'd never want to share the spotlight on a season with another man.

"Maybe I'm very jealous, maybe I'm envious. You could say all the things [associated] and they would probably all be true, but it would just be uncomfortable all the time," Ben confessed.

"I feel like at some point, my confidence that is necessary when you're trying to figure this whole thing out would break."

"And then," he continued, "I think if it wasn't Gabby and Rachel, I think [ABC] would have a really hard problem on their hands... [The two leads] are doing it really well, the best they can."

Kaitlyn, who went on to co-host two The Bachelorette editions following her stint on Season 11, has also been very vocal about her disapproval of ABC's choice to repeat a mistake, as she sees it, from the past.

Kaitlyn cursed, "I f-ckkkkin hate" this season, and complained multiple times in interviews and on social media when watching Gabby and Rachel crush on and kiss some of the same men.

However, Gabby and Rachel have insisted they wouldn't have wanted to do the season any other way.

"It was so nice to have somebody else, a true friend, go through it with you. Watching the criticism back and seeing it online, it's not that surprising, but it's almost like, 'Oh, you guys are kind of missing the point,'" Gabby told The Hollywood Reporter in a joint interview with Rachel earlier this month.

"We are giving the men a lot of attention and allowing them to make it about a competition. But if you pay attention to Rachel and I's story, we're really not. So it's just the nuance of watching it back."

Rachel also pointed out how she and Gabby were never at odds or fought during filming.

"We never [made] a decision without one or the other, early in the season," Rachel said.

"And to hear all the criticism of them pitting us against each other is just not how it was at all. Like Gabby said, they really are missing the point of female friendship and us navigating this together and showing our real emotions."

Rachel and Gabby have also teased happy endings for the both of them on the show.
