The Golden Bachelorette featured Charles "Chock" Chapple making a shocking departure and return before Joan Vassos eliminated four more bachelors during the episode that aired Wednesday night on ABC.

At the fourth Rose Ceremony of the season, Joan denied roses to Charles Ling, a 66-year-old retired financial analyst from Philadelphia, PA; Daniel "Dan" Roemer, a 64-year-old private investor from Naples, FL; Gary Levingston, a 65-year-old retired finance executive from Palm Desert, CA; and Gil Ramirez, a 60-year-old educator from Mission Viejo, CA.

The Golden Bachelorette broadcast began with a group date for the following men: Charles L.; Dan; Gary; Gil; Chock, a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, KS; Jonathan Rone, a 61-year-old shipping consultant from Oakland, IA; Keith Gordon, a 62-year-old girl dad from San Jose, CA; Mark Anderson, a 57-year-old army veteran from Leesville, LA; and Pascal Ibgui, a 69-year-old salon owner from Paris, France, who has lived in Chicago, IL.

The Date Card read, "Let's bare it all for love!"

Since Jordan Heller, a 61-year-old sales manager from Chicago, IL, and Guy Gansert, a 66-year-old ER doctor from Reno, NV, were not on the Date Card, they anticipated one-on-one dates this week and became very excited.

For the group date, which was hosted by The Bachelorette alum Kaitlyn Bristowe, the senior men were tasked with performing just like the original Chippendales. Joan's bachelors underwent some training and then had to perform a striptease routine for a live audience.

The event was also for a good cause, raising awareness and funds for "Stand Up To Cancer."

Once Mark learned this was for a good cause, it changed Mark's perspective and made him think, "Let's get this going!" Mark had lost his wife Denise to breast cancer.

The Golden Bachelorette senior men learned how to body roll and flex, and they were given the opportunity to improv, and Charles L. jokes about how he probably wasn't going to be pleasant to watch because he didn't have muscles anymore and was "awkward."

Joan's guys dressed in different costumes including a firefighter and construction worker.

Joan and Kaitlyn joked about how Jonathan had seemingly done this before, and at one point, Jonathan ripped off his shirt and also revealed gold sparkly panties.

Each guy stepped it up in his own way and danced for Joan. Chock and Keith both gave Joan a lap dance, and Gary ripped his shirt to shreds with confidence, which made The Golden Bachelorette star laugh.

"It's all about having fun. I've got the booty moves... because the ladies like the tush," Chock told the cameras, adding how Joan made him feel "so good" and he could be silly and goofy around her.

"Gosh she brings this out! This is a whole new me and it's going to be fun! I wouldn't have done this back home... but hopefully we can help some other people."

Joan said the performance brought her so much joy and she'd always remember it.

Joan's late husband John had been diagnosed with cancer on Valentine's Day, and she shared with the men that night how they raised money for something that was very near and dear to her heart.

Chock talked to Joan first at the afterparty, and Chock explained how the day was a reminder of how his mother was battling cancer at that time. Joan told Chock that he made her feel safe.

"I am crazy about you," Chock said.

"The feeling is mutual," The Golden Bachelorette star replied.

"I missed you, and it feels so comfortable. The only thing I do not like about this is the other 10 guys. Can I whisk you away?" Chock asked.

Chock also shared with the cameras how he felt passion with Joan, and so all of his boxes were being checked.

Joan then spoke to Keith, who revealed how he wanted to be a Chippendale dancer when he was 20-years-old. Keith did another dance for The Golden Bachelorette star, and then Jonathan gave Joan his infamous gold panties.

Mark and Joan agreed how they'd always have their deceased spouses in their heart. Mark admitted he felt guilty about dating after Denise but she wanted him to meet someone and hopefully marry again. Joan said being around Mark and his positive attitude helped her not dwell on the past.

Joan gave the group-date rose to Chock, saying she felt hope with him and could see a future with him.

Joan revealed she had "the deepest connection" with Chock, and he noted how he was feeling the same way.

"My connection with Chock is really there. And for the first time, I can kind of picture a future with somebody," Joan said.

The next day, Chock started to cry after learning his mother, who had Stage IV cancer, passed away. Chock said his mother was a wonderful woman and he couldn't have asked for a better one. Chock was on a high during this journey and said he felt so happy.

"I don't want to go home, but I've got to go take care of some stuff," Chock shared in a confessional.

The men offered Chock their condolences, and then when Joan arrived to take Jordan on a date, Chock explained how he needed to leave to check on his family.

Chock told Joan that the previous night was one of the best nights of his life but his mother died around 4AM. Joan immediately broke down into tears and hugged the bachelor.

Joan advised Chock to honor his mother and take care of his family, and Chock said he appreciated her more than she'd ever know.

"Your smile and your caring and you touching me just makes me feel so good," Chock told The Golden Bachelorette star.

Joan had left Gerry Turner to be with her family, and so this made her really sad. She and Chock had a very intimate conversation about the future, but now it was over.

"My heart is breaking for him," Joan said.

Joan didn't feel great following Chock's departure because she cared about him a lot, but she tried to focus on Jordan and give him the attention that he deserved.

Since Joan always had fun with Jordan, she said this was the perfect person for her date.

Joan and Jordan went ice skating, which Jordan wasn't excited about at all. But the pair also had a beautiful winter wonderland area set up for them in the skating rink. Jordan was such a bad skater that he fell multiple times and Joan couldn't help but laugh at him.

Joan saw a silly side of Jordan on their date, but she tried to dig deeper by asking about his past relationships.

Jordan explained how he had met his ex-wife in college and then they had three kids. Jordan said there were "serious breaches of marital trust" and although he left his wife, he made a sincere effort to be there for his kids, who all chose to leave the house and be with Jordan in a two-bedroom place.

The Golden Bachelorette star called Jordan a good father, and she seemed to appreciate his family values.

Kevin Cronin and Dave Amato then performed a private concert for the couple. Jordan and Joan danced on the ice and kissed, and Jordan said it was a big leap forward for them.

Joan gave Jordan a rose at the end of the date.

"It was super romantic! He's very fun to be with, and it feels good in his arms. After an emotional morning, that's exactly what I needed," Joan gushed.

The next day, Guy embarked on his one-on-one date with Joan, and he said he was ready to find love again.

For their date, Joan and Guy cooked a lemon-chicken ziti bake. Joan wanted to see if they could work together and have fun cooking, but Guy struggled to zest a lemon and Joan joked that she was "a little worried" about the ER doctor.

The pair talked about how they loved having Sunday dinner with their families, and Guy called the conversation nice and relaxing.

Guy said he felt a "chemistry" and "happiness" with The Golden Bachelorette star that he hadn't felt in years. In fact, he called it a "magical" day.

Mark was then shown telling Kelsey and Joey over the phone how Joan was incredible and he was having the time of his life. Mark said being with the other men was the best therapy, and Kelsey hoped to see her dad at hometowns.

Guy opened up about how his marriage changed for the worse once they became empty nesters. Guy said he and his wife didn't really have honest and open communication and they basically spent more than 30 years trying not to hurt each other's feelings.

Guy said they attended therapy together because he wasn't happy and then his former wife decided she was done.

Guy admitted he was pretty depressed after the divorce but his children lifted him up and wanted to see him happy. Guy said he felt the best he had in three years and a lot of that had to do with Joan.

Guy made Joan "hopeful" about the days ahead, and she gave The Golden Bachelorette suitor a rose.

"I feel like I am starting to fall for Joan. My brain is secreting so many endorphins, and dopamine is just squirting out of my ears right now!" Guy told the cameras.

Going into the cocktail party, Joan said she hoped Chock would return to the show because if he couldn't, he'd "always be a question" in the back of her mind about what could have been between them. Joan therefore felt "a little scared" kicking off the evening.

Joan thanked her guys for being there for her, and she confirmed that she could potentially see a future with more than one guy in the mansion.

Joan proceeded to have a conversation with Pascal, and she admitted that she would like to see more effort from him. Pascal didn't want to step on the other men's toes, but Joan clearly wanted him to make her the priority. She had been wondering if he even liked her.

After Pascal explained how he didn't mean to avoid or hurt Joan, she determined that he just has "an air of indifference" about him since he's French and that was okay.

Joan and Jonathan then chatted about having coffee and their morning routines. Jonathan had a box of Cheerios labeled Joan for her.

Mark gifted Joan a little fire truck so she'd remember the striptease group date, Gary danced with her, and Keith set up a fake beach date -- including beach balls -- on the pavement outside of the mansion.

Keith admitted he and Joan just had a bit of small talk and it wasn't as romantic as he hoped it would be.

And then suddenly, Chock returned wearing a beautiful suit, and Joan's jaw dropped to the floor.

"I am so excited to see you!" The Golden Bachelorette star shouted.

The pair hugged and kissed, and Chock confirmed that he was doing well after a crazy week.

"There was no way I was not coming back. I've got a unique opportunity that very few people in the world do with a great woman, and so I'm here. I'm here," Chock told The Golden Bachelorette cameras.

Joan told Chock that she couldn't explain how happy she was to see him, and Chock confessed that he was "crazy" about her from the bottom of his heart.

Chock asked Joan about the beautiful ring she was wearing, and Joan explained how it was a ring John had given her that she liked to wear in his memory. Joan said it made her feel safe but it probably wasn't right to keep carrying him with her, and Chock said he understood and was totally fine with it.

Chock then told Joan that he wanted to let his walls down and open up to her. Chick admitted he was "afraid of getting hurt," and so he asked her to help him be vulnerable and let his guard down.

"I feel safe and I feel comfortable again, like I have a future and there's hope. I can see it now. I see a future with more than one person," Joan noted.

Gary said Joan was beautiful inside and out and he could see himself walking through kid with her.

At the Rose Ceremony, Joan announced how all the guys had touched her heart in different ways and she was going to have to send men she cared about home.

Joan handed out roses to Pascal, Jonathan, Mark, and Keith.

The Golden Bachelorette star therefore eliminated Gary, Charles L., Gil, and Dan.

"I am disappointed obviously. Joan made me feel like I mattered. That's something I'm usually doing for other people, and she did that for me. So I'll miss her," Gary said in his final words.

"I'll miss each and every one of these men. We have developed quite the relationship with each other, calling each other ‘brothers.' And I am such a better man than I was because of them."

Gil wished Joan happiness and love, and he shared how he was "emotional" about having to leave Joan and his new friends.

"I live alone and living with a group of brothers was really cool," Dan said.

The Golden Bachelorette star whispered to Dan on his way out, "I hope we talk a lot!"

Andrew Charles L. said in his final words that he had joined the show a very sad man who missed his wife.

Charles said being at the mansion really helped to pull himself out of "the hardship" he had experienced.

"We opened our hearts and everybody helped each other. They are all gorgeous people -- lots of good friends," Charles L. said.

"It was a successful journey for me. I am in love with my friends. It's a different kind of love, but I found it."
