Tia Booth apparently went on Bachelor in Paradise with a mission -- to explore her relationship with Colton Underwood after an abrupt ending to their romance and awkward exchange on The Bachelorette.

Colton and Tia briefly dated in January, before Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s season of The Bachelor began airing on ABC. However, the pair called it quits on their budding relationship due to bad timing, long distance, and Colton's casting on The Bachelorette.
Once Colton made Becca aware of his former fling at the start of The Bachelorette season, Becca decided to pursue the charity founder only after receiving Tia's permission and genuine blessing during a Week 3 group date. Slowly over time, Colton grew to be "in love" with Becca.
But Tia later returned to the show during the July 16 episode after Colton's hometown date to inform Becca she still had feelings for the suitor and it made her "sick to [her] stomach" to picture Colton and Becca together.
Following Tia's shocking revelation, Becca sent Colton home at the subsequent Rose Ceremony.

"I feel like me and Colton are kind of at a point where we don't know what can come of it," Tia said of their dynamic, whether it be romantic or just a friendship.
"I look forward to having a conversation with him and kind of figuring out where we are and what's going on. Then, we can move forward from there."
Before heading to Mexico to film Bachelor in Paradise's upcoming edition, the Arkansas native and physical therapist apparently sought advice from her pal Raven Gates, who met her serious boyfriend, Adam Gottschalk, on the summer series last year.
"Raven told me to just be completely open-minded because she did not expect to fall for Adam," Tia revealed.

RELATED LINK: 'THE BACHELOR' FRANCHISE COUPLES NOW"She didn't really know anything about him and she wasn't going into it with anyone in mind. She just told me to go into it, like I've said, with a positive outlook, knowing that it's going to be a great summer and to go on dates with people."
Taking such advice might be hard for Tia, however, given she had her eyes set on Colton, who confessed Tia's return to The Bachelorette was frustrating and confusing.
"Last time, on The Bachelor, it was so much pressure to go after one person... you're worried about that relationship," Tia reasoned. "I'm excited to meet all kinds of people and make friends and just see where it goes."
Bachelor in Paradise is set to premiere with a two-hour episode on Tuesday, August 7 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
