Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher's protective brother Ben Patton probably shouldn't be quick to judge her appearance on The Bachelor and ability to fall in love quickly because he's been there, done that.

Ready for Love was produced by actress Eva Longoria and hosted by Giuliana & Bill stars Giuliana Rancic and Bill Rancic. The series premiered in April 2013 but was pulled from NBC's broadcast schedule after its first two episodes delivered poor ratings. A third episode ended up airing on TV in late April before the remaining episodes were released weekly for viewing online only.
Patton, dubbed an international financier from Dallas, TX, at the time, had 12 carefully-selected women competing for his heart.
After he was filmed going on dates, Patton and his bachelorettes would gather onstage with Giuliana and Bill in front of a studio audience to watch their experiences unfold and receive feedback from the matchmakers. Patton was then forced to eliminate contestants. Ready for Love concluded with each bachelor revealing whether he'd like to break up, get engaged or simply continue dating the woman he chose at the end.
Patton may be skeptical of Fletcher's journey on The Bachelor with Ben Higgins because his own journey on reality TV ended with a failed engagement.
Patton proposed to Angela Zatopek when Ready for Love's finale was filmed in August 2012 but they broke up about a month before the finale aired in early June 2013 on NBC.com. Zatopek confirmed their split the day after the world finally found out about their engagement.
According to Zatopek, she and Zatopek only saw each other for a day or two once every two months after the finale was filmed and the distance and their hectic work schedules contributed to their decision to part ways.
