The Real World: Philadelphia - Episode 23 Summary

Turns out David, MJ's best friend, will be visiting as well. He's supposedly some sports star, but I'm not into all that. More on David later, as Ashley is on the phone for MJ, she's five hours away in Nashville and is having some sort of problem. Some airport delay or something, but the baby woo woo talk is too hard to decipher. The whole situation throws MJ into panic and worry. Dude, it's ok. Airport delays happen all the time, usually people don't die. They just wake up with really sore butts from sleeping on the floor.

To add to MJ's distress, Ashley phones to say that her luggage has been lost. It's the apocalypse, I tell you. Well, according to MJ's reaction. Ashley decides to stay the night in a hotel and catch the train in the morning.

The next day the sun is shining, and Ashley is in Philly! MJ and Ashley hug and hump, and proceed straight to the bedroom, where the fortunately remain fully clothed.

MJ! Look behind you! There's a really big giant about to eat you! Oh, it's just MJ's Best Friend David. He has to DUCK to enter the doorway. I might have to start watching basketball now. This guy is 10 feet of pure hunk. MJ gives him the tour of the house and the smurfmates.

David talks to Karamo, because Ashley and MJ are fighting like sissy girls. Ashley confides in the girls that she is too tired to go out because she's been filming "Planes, Trains and Automobiles Part Deux", which Mel quickly relates to MJ, who doesn't care cause he wants to go out with Best Friend David. MJ didn't think it would be that diffcult to have David and Ashley visit at the same time. Let's see, you have one person visiting who wants to get drunk and laid, and another that wants to get drunk and laid by you. It's all al matter of timing, but MJ doesn't know the time so conflict arises. MJ tries to talk to Ashley for about 10 seconds, decides she's being a #####, but they go out with everyone.

At the bar, MJ leaves Ashley to have some boy time. Ashley begins to wonder what she is doing here, I'm thinking booty call but I could be wrong. Everyone goes home, and MJ decides to walk David home, since David obviously could not take care of himself, though he can see everything happening 100 miles around him.

Back at the house, a storm is brewing. Someone is not happy with MJ; they feel isolated from him, and are extremely upset. And it's not Ashley, it's Landon. Yep, Landon. Can't let these "guest stars" take away too much camera time from the roomies.

MJ decides to take Ashley to the zoo, the perfect place to tell her that he's hooked up with other girls. But it will never, ever happen again. Until MJ gets drunk and horny again. MJ drives Ashley to the airport, and they bid adieu. Until Ashley calls that evening, to talk without being "recorded". Heh. Ashley won't tell him what's going on until he gets home.

MJ, Shav and Landon visit the Titanic museum, unfortunately it does not have a sink or swim ride.

MJ calls Ashley and apologizes for hanging up on her. Ashley reveals she is not 100 percent with MJ, who demands all or nothing. Conversation over, MJ's world is dark and bleak. Perfect time to confront Landon about their issues. Apparently MJ is not giving 100 percent to Landon, either, because by golly, David knows MJ better than Landon and that's not cool. Roomies have to be best friends forever, how else with they make it through their first Real World/Road Rules Challenge?
